His life makes me think about the kind of inspiration a person can give to do something amazing to bring our country and it's people together. He was able to reach out and inspire so many people to back him up with tons of support. Enough to where they succeeded in getting the public segregation transportation lifted and ultimately get it lifted for schools and restaurants. With those choices he made to better our people and country gives me the same inspiration to do what I can to help educate people to better understand their dogs breed and behaviors. A lot of the time people will judge a breed by one dogs actions, for example the American Pit Bull Terrier is the most aggressive breed due to the media and lack of knowledge on the breed. Due to that there are many issues nowadays with breed discrimination, apartments won't allow "bully" breeds and to me that is not fair to judge a breed on one dogs actions. My goal would be to come, in my own way, an activist for breed discrimination, prove to people to not judge a breed by one bad dog or owner.
Hi,my name is Doina! Martin Luther King was a brave man which is very rare these days.I think we all need to take exemple from this unique man.Our society needs this man back because I often saw discrimination in USA it did not affect me but people who worked with me. It is hard to see how people are discriminated because they are black or they are from Mexico. I think we are equal and I don't want to think that Martin Luther King did everything that he did for as in vain.I hope this charismatic fighter can change people from our days not just from 1963.
this is Adreanna Seeing this image makes me a little sad yet hopefull. Sad that my ancestors believed it to be okay to treat another person with such disrespect because they didnt look like them. That it was ever okay to degrade and abuse another human being. I feel a twinge of shame of my ancestors that this happened and still happens today. Martin Luther King did many great things, one thing he did was showed everyone that "We" is greater than "I"; When we as a country started working together to boycott and demonthestrate. He proved we could change the world starting in Montgomery Alabama when the federal district court ruled the citys' segregation ordinances were unconstitutional. He still inspires generations of people today to make changes, his vision has made the world a more equal place and helped to insure minorities have a voice. Christina Martinez- I can relate to Dr.King as powerful, strong, passionate, and determined. I grew up in a house of unfortunate situations. I rebelled because of it and was in and out of juvenile hall, I then realized that if I myself didn't make a change that nothing good was coming my way. I focused on working and improving myself. I met my husband Gerardo of 22 years had two wonderful boys Andrew 13, and Anthony 17. I'm raising them with respect for others morals, and love in their hearts. Nothing like when I was growing up now that their older I'm focusing on myself yet again to finish school and get my degree in business management. I over came a lot in my life because of my determination.
Hi my name is Maria Deleon, this picture makes me think how great Martin Luther King Jr was and all the great things he accomplish for his people and their freedom and in some how I can related to his life, because my life growing up was hard because we didn't have money we had to work hard to be able to eat and I did my hard work and I was able to give my family and better life even though I had a lot of challenges. Martin Luther King Jr left his legacy of power and determination for people to follow and make a change in this world.
As a Mother of two kids who are of mixed Hispanic decent, I find it easy to live in the world we do today. thanks to Martin Luther King Jr. my kids can grow up in a semi normal world. He showed past generations and continues to make a mark on the future that all humans are equal no matter what we are!
i can say martin was sample of every good thing ,he was respectful, strong, civil right activist, spiritual leader and great attitude person, when i read martin's life i would love everybody to be like him,it adheres me to work my community, try to keep my people equal and avoid any activity that divides them. king's life teaches me power of education ,inspiration and public speech, don't hesitate any evil thing to talk about and to show the people right things. we can't write about two or three paragraphs how martin's life can change our current ,let we say his life encourage our community together and keep their civil rights.
MLK's journey was a testimate to perseverance, belief, and acknowledgement that equality was of paramount importance. Change was necessary, and it took a true leader that had foresight, direction, and resolve. MLK never waivered from his path. He was truly inspired and determined. His catalyst was love and change.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr was a man of wisdom spiritually and intellectually. Dr. King explored the movement to end segregation and to also not judge a man by the color of his skin but by the content of his character. Something disappointingly unheard at the time. Dr. King was truly a man ahead of his time. Dr. King Also exchanged one of the most important speeches in American history. Speeches like “I have a dream” and “I’ve been to the Mountain Top” created a roar in the American public to recognize racism for what it actually is, heinous. Dr. King encountered many horrible challenges in his journey to end segregation but still did not give up. Dr. King perseverance in his life should be example to anybody trying to tackle current cultural problems. Without Dr. Martin Luther King people of different skin or heritage would not be allowed to socialize with a person of some other race. Things we take for granted like going to school would be separate by the color of their race not the level of their intelligence.

Martin Luther King was a brave, charismatic, good-hearted, strong, religious man who had the courage to stand up for what he believed. He was a great activist and change the face of America. "The time is always right to do what is right", he said. I think, that is powerful words, which can help make our life, community, city, state and whole country more better. We just must believe in ourselves and make Right things. Martin Luther King Jr had a beautiful dream (love.peace.equal rights.freedom) and he was killed for it. The article about Martin Luther King Jr's life make me think about my father. My dad was fatally shot by drunk stranger at his workplace. I know, my father wasn't a great and famous person, who change the world. But for me he was the whole Universe, he has a strong personality and big heart and somebody cruelly took his life, as James Earl Ray took Martin Luther's King Jr's life.
It has been decades since the 1963 March on Washington where Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech was delivered. Yet none of us can say we have fully lived up to Dr.King's vision of a land where each person would be judged by the content of their character, rather than the color of their skin. Dr.King lived in an era when the leadership of the church in addressing racism was even less credible than it is today. He clearly understood that to often there was a difference between what Christianity taught in the Bible and the varieties of Christianity observed around him...

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your father, Kattie - what a terrible thing for your family. Comparing him to Dr. King would make him happy, I think.
